He was born in 1999 in Bethlehem, New York to parents Skip (a contractor ) and Christine Dickinson. He has a younger brother, Ian Jeffrey, who is a model.
He was attending Bethlehem Central High School , graduating in 2017. Describing his high school experience, he was saying, “I was bullied a lot in high school and, Personally, I just ignored it.”
He start doing his hair and makeup after a friend of his was asking him to do her makeup for a school dance. After teaching himself how to apply makeup, he soon began doing it professionally.
Still a teenager, he hasn’t exactly found his fame easy to handle. The gorgeous vlogger has amassed a large young adult following, but has noticed that they don’t always respect his privacy. According to the BBC , he has had to deal with fans showing up at his Los Angeles home, which has left him anxious and upset.
He took to Twitter in December 2018 to beg fans to stop. He noted that he was not interested in hugs, photos or signature paddles for the fans who showed up in front of his house.

In 2019, one of Charles’s long-time associates, Tati Westbrook, uploaded a 43-minute video accusing Charles of disloyalty and making other accusations and Charles’s subscriber count plummeted.
He posted an 8-minute response that became one of my least liked videos on YouTube before it was removed.
He posted a second 41-minute video addressing comments made by Westbrook and presenting evidence refuting many of Westbrook’s allegations, leading to renewed support online for Charles and criticism of Westbrook.
Westbrook later deleted the original video and in 2020 posted a follow-up video accusing fellow YouTubers Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star of manipulating her into making the original video.

In early 2021, when Charles was 21, several boys between the ages of 15 and 17 accused him of sending unsolicited nude photos and pressuring them to send him sexual messages.
On April 1, 2021, Charles posted a 14-minute video titled “Holding Me Accountable,” in which he claimed he sent sexually explicit messages to “two people different, both under 18”, although they denied knowing they were minors at the time.
Charles called his past behavior “reckless” and “desperate,” saying, “To the guys involved in the situation, I want to say I’m sorry. I’m sorry I flirted with you and me.” I’m so sorry if I ever made you feel uncomfortable. It’s completely unacceptable.”
Later that month, Morphe was releasing a statement saying they would cut business ties with Charles and YouTube temporarily demonetized Charles’s channel.

In a May 2021 lawsuit, Kelly Rocklein claimed that she was illegally overworked when she worked as a producer for Charles in 2018.
